just another error in judgement

No skiing for me. When we look out the window we see manmade snow that is a rather dismaying shade of brown. I’ve heard the saying “don’t eat yellow snow,” and I know full well what it means and it’s leading me to some rather disgusting conclusions about what brown snow may signify. I’d prefer not to go there though.

If you need an explanation then you’ve obviously never been there.

primarily because I have no milk to spill. I desperately need to go grocery shopping, but I would like to avoid buying too much because this time next week I will be skiing. At least the potential for skiing remains. It all depends on whether there is snow in the mountains.

Sorry. I haven’t been updating lately because I’ve been busy preparing for Christmas. If I had my way then all my Christmas shopping would be finished before Thanksgiving rolls around. That way I can avoid all the holiday craziness that ensues, and I won’t feel rushed to come up with gifts for everyone at the last minute. The problem is, I still have about 5 people to buy for and no clear idea on what to get any of them. Tsk. Tsk.

Tibbar. Tibbar.
Tonight, I watched The Hulk, which I also saw in the theater shortly after it came out and against my better judgment helped buy today. I do admit that this second viewing did give me some perspective. When we went to see it in the theater I was much more impressed by the little boy sitting across the aisle from me than I was by the film itself. The kid was 4 and very entertaining. He knew all the characters and frequently asked what were those people doing to Bruce Banner. Not only was he able to stay awake through the whole film, but every time the hulk appeared on the screen the kid would begin to growl. He was very into the film and he kept sending me into giggles.

Tonight there was no little boy to distract me, and I came to the realization that I really do not like any of the characters. I almost liked Bruce and Betty, and probably after an eventual third or fourth viewing I’ll be more inclined to feel something other than total ambivalence toward them. The acting is good, and they are the two most potentially likable characters, but I just can’t seem to care.
