So far, October is the best month I’ve had all year. Granted the month isn’t even a week old yet … but I’m an optimist. Most of my happiness has to do with the fact that it rained endlessly almost all day yesterday. I’m sure the people in other parts of Dallas are sick of rain and hope the rest of the month is dry and desert-like, but that’s because they were in the flooded areas a few months ago. Yes, I know, I’ve lived in this supposedly soggy city for just over a year now, but I still think water from the sky is a luxury not to be scoffed.
I realize I haven’t posted here in quite awhile, but that’s because I was having trouble accessing the site. Sorry about the lack of interesting things. Wow. That was pretty brazen of me. I don’t think the blurbs I write here can be considered all that interesting. In fact, I know they aren’t because even though it looks like my site traffic has increased significantly lately … at least the counter at the bottom of the page would lead you to believe so, because this time last month it read somewhere in the low 300′s. The counter at the bottom of the page is pretty much lying to you, but I’m not sure how to convince it to reset. Remember, I’m a complete novice when it comes to this sort of thing.
I’m trying out using a slightly larger font. I’m not sure I like it. I may change it again, but I was afraid I was causing severe eyestrain on my few devoted readers. I’m pretty sure two of them are octogenarians.
