My friend Wendy has gone into early labor and has now been sent home from the hospital twice. What I don’t understand is why they bothered to push her out the door while telling her she’s probably going to be back there in just a few hours if her labor doesn’t stop. They also encouraged her to walk … which I believe is an indication they want to advance her labor so that she’ll have her baby even sooner, instead of telling her to go home and take it easy … i.e. bed rest. Poor Wendy. I thought nurses and doctors were supposed to be nice and accommodating to someone obviously about to give birth.
