Out of some strange compulsion this afternoon I counted the number of rubber ducks I have, and it turns out I have 94 of them … and that isn’t counting the great big piƱata or the duck that isn’t actually mine. 94 ducks. Under other circumstances I might suspect I have a problem, but I can and do turn down buying more of them on a fairly regular basis. But just because I don’t buy every single one I see doesn’t mean I can’t look.
Sadly though, not all of the ducks I do have are completely unique. Of the 94 ducks there are four sets of identical twins and one set of identical triplets, which still leaves me with a lot of individuality. The twins and triplets really couldn’t be avoided though. They were sold as familial sets … and I don’t believe in breaking up families.
I don’t want anyone calling me a home wrecker.
