This afternoon once I was finished with work, we went and watched Mirrormask. It’s in limited release and will probably never make its way to mainstream theaters. It was breathtaking to watch. I would suggest to anyone living near enough to an independent theater showing Mirrormask to buy a ticket. The visuals alone make it worth shelling out a few bucks. There was so much to look at I’m certain I missed some of the dialogue. Of course, my favorite part may have been the scene in the library …
Edit: I’ve changed my mind. My favorite scene isn’t the library or anything to do with books. It has the be the musicbox bedroom scene. I say this because I woke up with the eerie rendition of “Close to You” in my head and it has been stuck there ever since.
