So far we’ve got about 15 boxes packed. My goal was to at least pack one box every day, but I actually haven’t been very good at that so far. I am being remarkably organized about this though. Each box is labeled with its room destination and a number. I’ve also constructed a master list giving a more detailed description of what items are in the boxes in the hopes that when we move into the new house I’ll know exactly where things are and won’t have to go digging through four boxes to find whatever I’m looking for.

I just wish I could be this organized about everything else. Saturday night I misplaced an item of great convenience. I now have no idea where it is, except that it is somewhere in the apartment. With my luck I probably packed it away into one of our boxes.

I have never been a big fan of April 1st. People use the day as an excuse to harass and irritate others. They like to use the day as an opportunity to annoy, embarrass and ridicule. And despite what the jokesters seem to think, the jokes they play are rarely funny. Humor at the expense of your family and your friends is really not that entertaining.

It’s not a holiday that honors a significant person or historical event. Everyone works, and goes to school (when it falls on a school day.) There’s really very little to celebrate.
