Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

So we are now official residents of the fair city of McKinney. We have been for about two weeks now, although I’m still waiting for the license with my new address to arrive in the mail. I still have the monumental task of painting every wall in the house ahead of me. Paul and I managed to get the pantry and the laundry room painted before we moved in. The most disturbing task is actually the kitchen. One of the former owners put this weird fruity-flowery wallpaper up throughout the kitchen and dining room. I personally think it’s hideous and desperately want to do something about it … I just haven’t decided what.

One of the nicest things about living in McKinney is that they promote recylcing. And you can pretty much recycle anything. That is anything except aluminum foil, styrofoam, and plastics that are marked above a 7. I haven’t been able to recycle this great a variety of stuff since I was growing up in Lubbock and my parents insisted on recycling everything known to man. My friends all thought we were so strange. Oh the memories.
