Today I tried to explain to Paul the magical properties of the average spoon. I don’t think he believed me.
I haven’t updated in over a month, but I haven’t really felt like saying anything.
One of my grandfathers passed away shortly after Mother’s Day. So we flew to Michigan to be around family and to attend the funeral service. When we got back I pretty much threw myself into work on our house. My mother was also here for two weeks and she helped me conquer the impossible kitchen and dining room as well as most of the painting in the living room. And last week I had a friend stay for a few days and help me uproot some evil shrubs that had some of the nastiest roots I’ve ever seen. It was hard work especially the ones in the backyard, and I have a feeling that they probably would have choked all the other plants out in the next few years. Now I just have to plant something in their place so the front of the house doesn’t look so bare.
I’ve taken a bit of a break from the hard work. I’ve just been painting shelves and accessories, doing touch ups and trying to decide where I want to hang things (finally). We have almost nothing decorative on the walls.
