Friday night Jeremy sent me the following message:
Referring to the pin I made and gave him at Christmas.
It’s awfully nice to know that total strangers dig my work.

We will be attending a funeral tomorrow morning. Susan, a woman I worked with, passed away earlier this week. She touched a lot of lives. I know she made a difference in mine.
Farewell
Farewell to Thee! But not farewell
To all my fondest thoughts of Thee;
Within my heart they still shall dwell
And they shall cheer and comfort me.
Life seems more sweet that Thou didst live
And men more true Thou wert one;
Nothing is lost that Thou didst give,
Nothing destroyed that Thou hast done.

I discovered something disgusting in my refrigerator today. Until now I was completely unaware that mushrooms can turn green. Not just any shade of green either, but toxic lime jello green with a funky sheen that probably fluoresces under black-light.
My discovery was upsetting enough that I threw the mushrooms away in the dumpster outside. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that it occurred to me I probably should have taken photos to document my findings. If I were braver and more adventurous, I would comb through the garbage just to bring you proof that I’m not making this up.
Now, no one will believe me.
