Today’s shrinky dink is Orthros. An elite mark found in the Garamsythe Waterway. He looks a little like the foobar from the other day, but he was much harder to defeat. I tried something a little different while making him. The experiment has left me immensely satisfied with the eyes and mouth, but a side effect I wasn’t quite expecting is the higher color contrast through the majority of his body. It seems I will have to experiment some more in the future to see if I can make transitions between darker colors a little more subtle.

I had several conversations yesterday about our new President after the inauguration. Everyone I heard from yesterday afternoon is relieved that former President Bush is out of office after eight years, but there are a few mixed feelings about President Obama. Currently, I am cautiously optimistic. I’m rooting for change, but I’m completely aware that there are forces working against anything actually happening. It’s going to be an interesting first 100 days.
