Late yesterday morning I went out and replaced some of the shrinky dink supplies I’ve used up in the past month and half. I was awfully low on two colors. It seems I use them much more than the other colors so I went a little crazy and ended up getting four replacement pencils of one and three replacement pencils of the other. I feel like I can breathe a big sigh of relief now. I also finally broke down and bought a pencil extender so I can continue to use my pencil stubs when they become too short to use comfortably. I think I’m going to have to look around and see the different types of pencil extenders, because as useful as they are, and the way I’ve been abusing my pencils lately, I might need to have a few on hand so I don’t have to constantly switch out the stubs. I also need to come up with a better pencil organization system than the one I have now. The way I organize them currently just doesn’t make a lot of sense. It might help if I make my own colorwheel.
While I was out I did come across some additional shrinky dink plastic. I was slightly tempted to buy a few. I’ve only ever used the rough and ready material, but I’ve seen the bright white around all the time. Yesterday I saw sheets of black and brown as well. I was also told there’s a clear material, but I didn’t see any of it. I kind of wonder if the different colors have different properties. The only problem I saw with buying some of the new stuff was that I would have had to purchase an entire package. Right now I’m not willing to part with that much money just to experiment a little. Especially if it turns out I hate the stuff and get stuck with half a dozen sheets or more of it.
