The solution I mentioned yesterday for extending the life of my colored pencils? It works beautifully. The Bradford Pear trees are in bloom again. This means the entire city is going to stink for the next 7 to 10 days. I plan on going outside only in emergencies.

I’m continuing to experiment with how to extend the life of my pencils. I think I’ve come up with a way to continue using the stubs even after they are too small to sharpen. It involves gluing the flat end of the stub to a new unsharpened pencil of the same color. My first attempt [...]
