Is anyone out there?

So I realize that this space has been sitting here and moldering for entirely too long. I’ve actually written a new blurb every month but none of them have managed to make it beyond a rough draft. I think I got a little burnt out posting daily for the first half of 2009.

The good news is that this lovely and exceedingly long hiatus has left me feeling refreshed. I plan on creating batches of shrinkydinks again soon. Unfortunately I won’t be able to post any pictures until after we acquire a new camera. Ours bit the dust in early April.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone wandering by that interesting things (and even not very interesting things) might start appearing here once more.

This is what it feels like to be awesome.

This weekend Paul and I successfully tiled the tub surround. Mom and Dad, I’m sure you’re the proudest of me you’ve ever been. I’ll take pictures and post them in a few days, after we’ve grouted and caulked. Then all you other folks can bask in the glow of how much more awesome we are than you.

The only drawback is that I’m now exhausted. Dinner better be manna from the heavens or else we’re just going to have to make do with cold mouth-shredding cereal.

What’s that I hear? Aye aye Cap’n! Here I come.

Break from the routine.

For anyone paying attention, June is now available to view and click on the ShrinkyDink Project Page.

This is also where I’m announcing that the Project is being paused indefinitely as of today. For those of you who visit regularly, you may have noticed that for the past few weeks my daily updates were inconsistent at best. It turns out that I’m getting old, and it has become too difficult for me to juggle as many things as I’ve had up in the air lately. I need to focus on some other things for awhile. I plan on revisiting the Project at some point, although I can’t nail down a date as of yet.

Another missing link

You rarely see Link without his iconic green tunic, but I’ve been wanting to draw him sporting the blue and white lobster tunic he wears at the beginning of the game. It turned out OK, but I was tired when I drew this and I think it looks a little grubby.

No strings attached

This one turned out a little messy. If you can’t tell what it is, don’t worry about it.
